You know, I think your attempt to recreate glitchstep is pretty good. But, as banal as it may be, I noticed a lot of shoals here! First of all, there's that fucking dynamic again! Secondly, it is not clear why you put dubstep basses on the drop, although in principle this is permissible, but only if they do not prevail over the glitch melodies that are characteristic of glitchstep. Here they interrupt the glitch melody, so it seems that this is some kind of midtempo, and not glitchstep. Third, the beginning. It could be made much juicier and brighter. If I were you, I would activate the main melody after eight fours, for example. Although in principle, in terms of composition, glitchstep is quite experimental, here each apartment has its own commanders. But the sound is the most important thing here. And finally, the effects. Put the effects on the composition, down sweeps the same for example! So any of your work will become juicier. It's the worst job you've got so far. 3 points.

CaliberKat responds:

Yeah. It agree. It was a project I hadn't worked with in ages, so might as well post it here.

What a masterpiece! In fact, the work is excellent. I liked this experiment with different variations of the piano performance. Moreover, some of the melodies here are incredibly recognizable. And I would very much like you to continue working in this direction, because such experiments often take the soul. Congratulations, you honestly earned your 10 points! And by the way, list the songs you played from start to finish!

CaliberKat responds:

Thank you. Who knew I would get more points from a 'guess the song' track than any other piece. And here is the list:
1. Walkman - Lukash.
2. Anxiety - MDK
3. Shock Rave - F-777
4. We'll Meet Again - TheFatRat & Laura Brehm
5. Spark - Vexento
6. Milkshake - Meganeko.

NOTE - I didn't do the speed change, cuz I learned it messed the sound up.

The work is simply gorgeous! First of all, I liked the main melody in your composition. Very uncomplicated, but at the same time dynamic and bright. Before the drop, the build-up is very good, but I did not have enough effects that would emphasize the transitions from one part to another. In addition, it would be nice to stick on, let's say, the break part on the first kick some crash plate. So simply the composition sounds more interesting and aesthetic. It would be worth adding a little volume and juiciness in the melody and chords, as well as adding a bass line. In general, this work is not bad for a progressive house, but it is worth working on dynamics and brightness. 10 points deserved!

Drum N Bass + Orchestral = Good1!

Wow! This is a really good job! First, partly because it justifies the genre in which it is written. The idea of an eight-bit sound with an admixture of acoustic elements worked perfectly. The build-up with tonics is quite excellent. In addition, I am glad that you are able to communicate with the automation of the filter, equalization, and so on. .. I was a little lacking in dynamics, brightness and juiciness. In principle, everything is as always. You pulled a seven.

WOW! It's super! Continue make it superclass works!

Hoffreloaded responds:

thanks

The composition is quite interesting, i Think. in principle, it was very interesting in those moments when you tried to recreate your style of such a famous genre of dubstep music as midtempo. But, the whole trick is just that the Ruckus bass is clearly modulated in the serum, and even more so the sound on the drops is much more diverse than yours. And besides, I'd advise you to look for some good drum samples for dubstep. I recommend using samples from Cymatics or Vengeance. I use them myself in my compositions, listen. By the way, there is a place to be melodic bass, but it is still better if the bass will sound on the same tone and acquire changes in speed. well done, 8 points.

Wow! This is probably your best work. The dynamics are just gorgeous, it's a pity that there are not enough effects, the sound is excellent, the atmosphere is just cool! In addition to the lack of effects that emphasize the brightness of the sound like Sweeps down or sweeps up, there are no complaints. This is a well-deserved 10 points! Well done! Keep it up!

I haven't heard the Schtiffles ' The Cycle soundtrack, but this work isn't a remake of this track at all. There is an element from Taut Strings from it. The genre match is excellent, the dynamics are not bad, the sound is excellent! If you called this work a remake of tout Strings, I'd give it a higher score, but ... 7 points.

CaliberKat responds:

Um. I never knew this existed, but... The Cycle IS by Schtiffles. I just listened to Taut Strings...
THE CYCLE IS A REMAKE OF TAUT STRINGS!!!
